Another excellent episode of the Apprentice. Once again, Siralan fired completely the wrong person. As any fool knows, in the real world it would have been Jennifer that was fired, and not Shazia.

However, this being edited-TV land, the producers no doubt wanted Jenny and Lucinda to stay in because their rivalry will make for good television in the future.

I do hope that Jenny gets fired soon though. She came across terribly (backstabbing, bitchy, agressive, not letting the other person talk etc etc...) and definitely not someone you would want to be working with/for.

On a side note, I wonder if there is anyone out there who still believes from the opening credits that Siralan's plush offices are in a city skyscraper and not in Brentwood, Essex...

Have just been watching this on BBC3 (the televisual equivalent of Heat magazine), and on everyone of these 'Top 100 XXXing Pop Songs/Movies/People/Events' shows, I have noticed that the format is the same:

1. Voice over by disgraced ex-Blue Peter presenter Richard Bacon,
2. 'Famous' D-list talking heads commentators such as Maggot from the Goldie Looking Chains, Emma Jones, and Lucy Porter
3. Sarcastic, sneering commentary
4. Err, that's it....

Why is Emma Jones asked to be on these shows? She knows nothing of any value or interest. Oh I know, could it be because she's blond and easy-on-the-eye, used to edit Smash Hits for like 1 day or something, is blond and pretty, used to edit The Sun before she was sacked for being rubbish, and is blond and pretty? She has the most annoying voice in 'cultural commentator land' and seems to be lacking all substance.

By the way, what are the qualifications you need to become a pop-culture commentator? I'd like to apply for the job....

I've been watching this series on Virgin 1.

It's a great series with a strong story line and very similar in feel to the first 2 Terminator films. But, why do there need to be some many ad breaks??? There's one even before the opening credits and then one every 7 minutes or so. The actual length of the programme is only about 40 mins even though it's on for an hour!

On a TV theme, I saw the back-end of an episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air today which was (very surprisingly) really moving and emotional! It was all about Will's feckless father coming back and then disappearing again. The ending is the father leaving Will again and Will getting angry and crying and saying that he's going to be a better father to his children than his father ever was to him. I was really surprised by the emotional ferocity of it all and am not ashamed to say that I almost cried....and this when I didn't even watch the full episode!!!

In case you didn't know already, Heather Mills is one egg short of a six-pack carton.

Is it me or is Richard Allinson the best DJ on the radio at the moment? When I was listening to him today on Radio 2, I was singing along to about 4 songs he played one after the other.

Perhaps his tastes and mine are just very closely aligned.

Having looked after the kids for a couple of months now, I have suddenly realised how much good parenting is like being a good manager:

1. You must coax and persuade your children/employees to do things they don't want to do by using a combination of threats, bribery, and shouting.
2. Your children/employees look up to you in general.
3. Most of the time, you have a good time with your children/employees, but there are times when you get annoyed with them.
4. Hopefully, after a few years, your children/employees will learn and grow and need less supervision.

Of course, you can't sack your children as you can your employees....
